This historical leather shoe is in stock, ready to ship.
This is a buckle shoe worn by both men and women. It is a later style shoe, more common in the 14th century.
This style features a high vamp, regular heel collar and a split instep strap with a buckle. This shoe has hob nails and a hard sole.
Documentation
This is a period style shoe with documentation found in Stepping through Time (Archaeological Foodwear from Prehistoric Times until 1800 by Olaf Goubitz.) This academic book documents actual medieval shoes found preserved and discusses historical construction techniques. This particular shoe is found on page 213 of the 2007 paperback edition. The shoe is depicted in figure 5..
Our sizes are listed in US Mens (M), Womens (W), These shoes are pretty true to size. Since they are made of leather they will stretch.
