Medieval Boot
This a popular ankle boot that was worn during the 10-14th centuries.
This is a period style shoe with documentation found in Shoes and Patterns (Medieval Finds from Excavations in London.) This academic book documents actual medieval shoes found preserved and discusses historical construction techniques. This particular shoe is found in the chapter Shoes from London sites, 1100-1450, page 36 of the 2006 paperback edition . The shoe is depicted in figures 55, 56 and 57. This shoe is Part of Baynards Castle assemblage. "This style of boot are 'so similar in construction and styling to those of both earlier and later times ." p. 36
Our sizes are listed in US Mens (M), Womens (W), These shoes are pretty true to size. Since they are made of leather they will stretch.
