The Kalasiris is an ancient Egypt costume that was basically a large piece of fabric, worn with or without a gown, and was worn draped in many ways. This garment would historically have been made from sheer linen, which is not commercially available. Our Kalasiris is made from a sheer chiffon fabric, and gives the illusion of historical accuracy.
Note, this item does not include the sheath dress underneath, it is the Kalasiris and belt.
This outfit is similar to ones worn by Cleopatra, and is often depicted in movies and plays of the Nile and the Bible. This outfit is perfect for biblical plays.
