The abaya (abayah) is a type of cloak worn in Israel, North Africa and Arabia. This traditional garment is still worn today and has evolved to fit modern convenience. Our abayah is an ancient version of the garment and is very simple. In portrayals of bible stories it is an abayah that Moses is wearing as he parts the sea. Abayah also works well for Joseph Costumes

This garment can be machine washed and dried on low. Like all Garb the World garments, we stitch them here in the USA to be worn and washed like 'regular' clothing.
