This item was already stitched in the USA and is ready to ship.
Our cowl is a mantle that hangs down over the shoulders and chest with a large hood. The cowl was developed during the early middle ages in northern Europe, . originally they were worn simply to give greater warmth than would an open cloak. Cowls were popular with many iron age peoples, commonly worn in a Robin Hood costumes. Cowls became the formal garment for those in monastic life and are often worn by Friars and Monks. It can go over any garment such as robes or tunics.
This garment can be machine washed and dried on low. Like all Garb the World garments, we stitch them to be worn and washed like 'regular' clothing.
