Our overlay stole are double layered, 60 inches long, many colors.
The stole, also called the Pallium, sudarium, orarium, stola has a long history, dating back to the first century in ancient Rome as priest or clergy stole. Stoles can be worn either towards the front or back, depending on the time period. Stoles were typically embroidered or painted, and sometimes included tassles and bells. Worn as graduation stoles.
We make all color stoles, however white, red and black are typical religious wear. We should be able to modify the pattern to suit
Double layer so they are quite sturdy, they hold their shape without being stiff, and have a nice weight to them.
60 inches long from back of neck to bottom hem.
Made from a cotton fabric twill that is sturdy.
This garment can be machine washed and dried on low. Like all Garb the World garments, we stitch them here in the USA to be worn and washed like 'regular' clothing.
