Scapular
This item was already stitched in the USA and is ready to ship.
Scapulars originated as aprons worn by medieval monks. Later they extended to habits for members of religious organizations. The "monastic scapular" appeared first, perhaps as early as the 7th century in the Order of Saint Benedict. The "devotional scapular" is a much smaller item and evolved from the monastic scapular. Each are very similar but have specific religious details and adornments.
Our scapulars are essentially a tabard with a large hood. They can be added to any garment to create new looks for any occasion.
This garment can be machine washed and dried on low. Like all Garb the World garments, we stitch them to be worn and washed like 'regular' clothing.
Made in the USA by stitchers earning a fair wage.
We'll send you notes to remind you of the fun you can have in the past. And offer you deals and stir your imagination
